Storms wreak more havoc on Michigan, expanded hours at Secretary of State, smoke ring in Clinton Township

While floods submerged Detroit and Dearborn two weeks ago, it was high winds that wreaked havoc on parts of Southeast Michigan during the latest round of storms.

More than 110,000 people were still without power by Thursday morning, with the bulk of the outages blanketing the western half of Oakland County.

12 Flint area ramps closing for summer construction on westbound I-69

A dozen ramps are being shut down for the summer as the Michigan Department of Transportation’s $100-million rebuild of the expressway kicks into high gear.

MDOT said in a news release that its contractor on the reconstruction project from Fenton Road to Dort Highway started switching over traffic on Interstate 69 Tuesday, June 1, to have both directions of travel on the eastbound section of the interstate.
